Some old names still around !

Still Here Not as frequently as I would like. My depression means that most days I lose interest after 1700 and just read the papers on my Tablet. I still have Terri, she is having some welding done for the MOT. Just returned from a campsite at Cirencester as luck would have it the mid weekend...

    Rear coil mounts

Ouch! Have ordered, both brackets and rubbers and post £220. This is an MOT fail and there are not the same number of enthusiasts down here in W Cornwall, case of needs must.

    Rear coil mounts

Rick Checked your thread, the corrosion is on the bracket itself not the chassis. I covered welding during my apprenticeship (almost 50 years ago ) I understand the theory and what is possible but have never had the requirement to put theory into practice. I appreciate a good job and hate...

    Rear coil mounts

MOT failed: Both sides rear coils top mounting brackets, are these 503800F000 and 503810F000 the correct parts and is it worth ordering the rubbers, 550340F000 as well? Advisory: Fuel Lines, do I need to use genuine 175062X400 and 175102X400, how easy is it to get the clips? Future Plan...

    Seat belt bolts

Bought both the 11mm 125 and the UNF 7/16 20 from the Avon firm, arrived to late for the MOT but as the car failed on suspension coil mounts I will be OK for the Retest. Note: The garage accepted with the passenger seat out, the belt did not reqquire test.

Thanks Thanks Rick, MOT Tuesday, have taken out the passenger seat so technically it says you are not required to have the belt. I will see if the rear lap strap uses the same bolts. :nenau rob

    Roof line snorkel

Awesome :clap:bow:thumb2. Absolutely awesome. I attended a course on how to improvise helicopter battle damage repair, you would have aced the course. A superb example of using items to complete a task they were not designed for. I am deeply envious.

Zd30 Zexel VP44 Replacement Due To Non Start

Smoking :clap Reminds me of my early workshop experience, working on the old Wessex 1 autopilot (Valves, 275 v DC, large transformers, big capacitors etc). If the Amplifier stated to smoke during testing (we all did in those days), the policy was to leave the power on. Once the components...

Zd30 Zexel VP44 Replacement Due To Non Start

Awfull Those videos are beyond bad:doh:eek: Modern electronics are pretty sturdy and are relatively well protected from static and temperature shock. I do not recommend going all out with wristbands and static protection bays but treat them with some respect. Static and thermal shock is no...
