    Claire's Mini Beast!

Cheers! I'm pretty happy with it! I hadn't considered that given how tight those buggers are in! :lol The 1st time I heard the clunk I assumed it was everything re-locating itself, but when it kept on clunking, I had to reconsider. :doh

    Claire's Mini Beast!

That was my first thought, but the problem with longer shocks is, they will let the CV Joints run well out of the range that there comfortable with... I'm probably already pushing it a bit.

    Claire's Mini Beast!

I suppose if the diameter of the hole was the same as the one that holds the shock in place, then it would just sit along sine it. :thumbs

Those are a thing! https://slingsandstraps.co.uk/products/suspension-limiting-straps Not exactly sure where I'd fit them, but might look into that! :)

    Claire's Mini Beast!

I just assumed that might be ok because the shock is what limits the downward suspension travel... Do you think it's because it's reaching its limit of travel much quicker, with more force because of the coil & spacer setup? I can't really think of a fix for this, (Apart from remove the...

    Claire's Mini Beast!

It's a bit like 2 steps forward 1 step back at the minute... Not quite bad enough to be 1 forward and 2 back! I love how this little beast is starting to look... But independent suspension seems like a bit of a minefield. Now that the strut and coil spacers are on, the car makes an awful...

    Claire's Mini Beast!

Spent another morning under the X-Trail finishing off the suspension set up. Initially I was having trouble undoing the top bolt of the rear shocks, given how tight they were and how little space I had to use a lever. Managed to whip of the rear shocks off no problem this time round tho with...

"Terrance" - 04' Terrano II SE Commercial 2.7TDi Project Thread

Why do I get the feeling like I'm gonna have to get to grips with CV Joints because of this X-Trail! :nenau

    Trucker Dave Hi Everyone

I should also add, at this point in time I have only regular bulbs and have yet to do an LED conversion.

    Claire's Mini Beast!

I should add, with the lift as is and the bigger tyres, we have currently gained 60mm of extra ground clearance. The spacers are 30mm, so that's gonna give us 90mm... Thats near enough 4" in old money! :naughty

    Claire's Mini Beast!

You've hit the nail on the head Elty. For me, it's worth it. I LOVE the look it's achieved and I enjoy tinkering with stuff. For Claire it's a bit different... She frets over the wheels rubbing, and would prefer it was right straight away! (Wouldn't we all!?) Welcome to the world of car...

I find the cabin lights fail often too! :doh

    Elty001's terrano project

I love a good work light! I feel most reverse lights are hopeless! I had made the back of my Patrol symmetrical, ie two reverse lights and two fog lights... But it's still a pitiful amount of light! I also use my work lights to reverse!

    Claire's Mini Beast!

That's a canny plan. It's funny how the obvious can be overlooked. :lol Is there any special technique, or just tap away at it?
