    Made it worse! MAF cleaning

I know I know! can't believe I didn't fit it before cleaning with carb cleaner... then I would have been sure if it was working or not. Thing is I did the same this morning with the electrical contact cleaner, just sprayed away la la la de da  When I eventually get Ray's Amp I will...

    Made it worse! MAF cleaning

I found a 2nd hand Bosch MAF on ebay for £20 delivered from a parts place. It came the next day, and looked a bit grubby and greasey so gave it a clean with the carb cleaner, making sure not touch anything. Left it to dry, Fitted it and it was not working. Head in hands moment and a big groan...

thanks, I have used muti purpose grease. I've now read the download on the hub cleaning. I haven't actually stripped and cleaned the Hubs at all!!! I stripped the brake rings and cleaned. So later today I will strip and repack the Hub. (The bit with 6 Alan bolts that you pull off)

    temp gauge

http://www.freeasestudyguides.com/performance-viscous-fan-clutch.html A viscous fan is running all the time where as an electric fan runs only when needed, so must be more efficient overall. Also easier to know if a fan is working.

    Hot Hub & Smells Hot

thanks ric. Am I right in saying that the wheel should be able to spin at least 1 revolution without too much force applied? If not then the bearing must be too tight? re. auto hubs, I stripped and cleaned and then packed with grease, dont know what else I should do with it. All the bits...

    Hot Hub & Smells Hot

Knowing now that the bearings were over tightened after putting new discs on I jacked up the front to loosen them off a bit, I thought I would do this right before the heavens opened. :doh When everything was removed down to the lock ring I tapped it round with a hammer and screwdriver to free...

    Steering Wobble after balancing done?

when I refitted the bearings I think I may have over tightened. I turned the lock ring tight with 2 alan keys in the holes to get a good nip up, and then tapped the lock ring round very tight with hammer and screwdriver. There is no play but have I overdone it? would this cause wobble?
