    defraggler

I've been using the free Piriform C Cleaner for about five years (recommended at the time by Which magazine) with absolutely no problems and started using their defraggler about a year ago, again with no issues at all. They are free because there is a small element of third party advertising...

Feeling down at Christmas cos your t2 is acting up?

Should put off a few prospective buyers!

    Not So Merry Christmas

Hopefully a result - Carglass in Fuengirola say they can repair the dent in the frame and fit a new heated rear window, 12.00 tomorrow (Tues), all covered by the insurance. Will let you know the outcome.

Useful to know, thanks for that Rick.

    Not So Merry Christmas

Some excellent advice there guys, thank you one and all. I'm going to see a Spanish Autoglass-type company tomorrow (Mon) to see if there is anything they can do with the existing door, if not the plywood option seems good. Ideally I would like to replace the whole door but I need to find one...

    Not So Merry Christmas

So here we are in Spain, 4 days till Christmas, and the son-in-law decided to move my Terrano and reversed it into a tree - bough hit the top of the rear door window frame, denting the frame and smashing the heated rear window. I now have to find someone in the Fuengirola area who can repair...

Huge Thanks to the Lovely Rick

Good to have some female input on this mainly macho site, been sadly lacking since the departure of Cupcake and the reduced contributions from Melissachels - welcome Kate.

    A Bar

It does look as though your A bar is from an earlier model (i.e. similar to my '94). mine also fits to the two lower recovery points (with a big washer) and with two arms which pass between the bumper and the grille and are bolted to two pre-fitted captive nuts either side of the radiator.

Headlight assembly? Can it be taken apart?

I had a similar problem with my '94 in that the glass came loose. I removed the old adhesive with a flat bladed screwdriver and refitted the glass using non-setting silicone. That was over two years ago and it's still stuck there firmly (and no water has ever got in).

    Long D22 snorkel on terrano

Despite all the comments, a great write-up Alex, some excellent pics and yet more proof (if proof were needed) of Ricks' expertise, ingenuity and tolerance.

    Sqeaky Wiper.

Totally agree, have been doing the same for years.

    Nissan Mistral

On my 1994 Terrano they don't fold in (not electrically anyway) but they are heated and as Jim says, turn on with the rear screen demister. Switch this on, leave it on for a minute or so then feel the mirrors - if they are heated the glass will feel quite warm.

    Ceiling Tiles

That's the situation I have - most of my ceilings are still lath and plaster, that's why I used polystyrene tiles in the first place, probably 30 years ago (the house is over 100 years old). They now have several coats of paint on them and removing them without damaging the plaster underneath is...

    Ceiling Tiles

That could be a plan Jim, I've got some MDF offcuts in the garage that are about the same thickness. Sweety, B&Q (and apparently all other retailers) are no longer allowed to sell them, elf n safety and all that, but thanks for your input guys.

    Ceiling Tiles

Thanks for all the advice guys, I know they're not ideal, but until I get around to decorating the kitchen (and removing all the tiles), I still need a few to patch the area where the old boiler is being removed - if anyone has some leftovers salted away in the loft or the garage the missus...

    Ceiling Tiles

Do any of you bright sparks have an idea where I can get around half a dozen of the (now illegal) 12" polystyrene ceiling tiles. We are having a new central heating boiler fitted and the removal of the old one will leave an area of damaged/missing tiles. I have no intention of re-tiling the...

    Front wheel arch trim

They're quite cheap to buy from eBay, I ordered some a while ago plus some of the door card/interior plastic trim clips (they ALWAYS break when removed) before I removed the wheel arch liner A couple of wheel arch clips broke and most of the trim clips so having a stock of them simplified the job.

    Headlights. URGENT

I had those stickers (beam benders I seem to recall) on my T2 when I first took it to Spain - they were c**p. They reduced headlights that weren't that great anyway to candles! Now have correctly dipping ones fitted with Nightbreakers and they're as good as any modern car (oh, and the car is 20...

    Headlights. URGENT

As Sweety said, try eBay-de (Germany) I've got parts from there before and they seem to be bit cheaper than the UK. Never had any luck with eBay-es (Spain) though, there never seems to be anything much available.
