Front wheel arch trim

Is it easy to remove the front wheel arch tims without breaking the clips ?
What way does one go about removing them.
I just want to get some waxoyl up round there before the roads get salted.

A tree at about 20mph usually works. :augie

It might work if you are careful - I did not break any clips, the clips broke the rust holding them

They're quite cheap to buy from eBay, I ordered some a while ago plus some of the door card/interior plastic trim clips (they ALWAYS break when removed) before I removed the wheel arch liner
A couple of wheel arch clips broke and most of the trim clips so having a stock of them simplified the job.

OK, so do I need to pull them in any specific direction ?
What do the clips look like ?
