So, having read many threads on this, can someone just clear up a simple question? Can I lob SVO straight in to my Troll 4.2d? Either 100% in warmer weather, or mixed when the colder weather comes???

Thanks for the reply. Forgot to mention that I'm based in Chelmsford, so anything within 30 mile radius would be good. Also chucked in a bottle of redex the other day, which did help as there was a noticable difference after, but the stutter is still there.

Does any one know where I can take my troll to have it's injectors looked at. I have a feeling one of them may be on its way out. It's developed a stutter at about 2800rpm.

So, can someone clarify this (again). My Troll = 2120kg (I think) My Van = 895kg (with nothing in it) I passed my test after 1st Jan 1997 So can I tow without having to do another B+E Test?????

Yep, They sort me an alternator for 4.2D Troll. Ordered at 14:00hrs, delivered the next morning before 12:00. All for £150

Aggy, Supaguard polish is very good as it is full of glossing agents to give it plenty of shine, so when it is first done it looks great, however its expensive because it is meant to last 3 - 5 years without having to be polished again, and that is absolute rubbish. Plus you get all the...

I used to be a valeter for a LR Dealership.We used to sell plenty of Supaguard, which is the same sort of thing. Polish definately looks good the first time round, but won't last three years like they tell you. The upholstery protector is meant to be quite good though. Overall, I wouldn't pay £300

Ahhh..... Just when i thought it was safe. So, if my Troll weighs 2190kg, and van is 895kg, Can i tow it without having to do a trailer test? As combined weight is less than 3500kg, and troll is heavier than van.

Thanks for the replys guy's. At the moment my girlfriend has a towing license, and i don't, and it makes me feel so errrr...... not manly!

So, my van weighs about 895kg, so i should be ok. In theory, the truck could weigh up to 2605kg, and i would be alright as the combined weight isn't over 3500kg. All so confusing!

Hello all, My 4.2D Patrol seems to have developed an issue with acceleration. When accelerating hard (ish), she gets to about 2500 - 2800 rpm, and starts to stutter/shudder, and doesn;t want to go any more. Its not as bad when you accelerate slowly. Any ideas? :nenau
