Cheapest tyres with or without wheels

Watch the ebay listings, those ones with the Marix remoulds (supposed to okay I think) are just for the tyres, no wheels included. :doh - just reread your first post, you'd prefer tyres on wheels. I'll shut up now!

Always good to keep a filter in the boot (and a decent filter wrench to remove it) in case you get a blockage. In theory veg can clean out the gunk that *may* have built up in the diesel tank, but I think Bio is more likely to do that. Certainly never had any issue with mine (will probably...

och, go on lad, it's not my truck :D Seriously though, it should be fine, just leave space at the moment for some extra diesel in case it refuses to start on a cold morning. Once you've got a happy winter mix, fill to the brim and leave everyone behind you strangely feeling like a chippy for...

    7" tablet suggestions please

If you get a cheapie with bluetooth, you could always use a bluetooth GPS, a bit clunky but might help with budget.

Veg oil is thicker than diesel, no matter how much diesel you mix it with, you will still end up with thicker fuel. Generally these old girls don't care and the IP is fairly strong compared to other vehicles. Mixing with up to 20% (best not to go much more than this) petrol with veg will bring...

    Insurance

Mine hasn't any modifications, I do wonder about making some, but I know it'll probably hit my pocket each year on renewal and reduce the range of shysters to choose quote from. So far, I haven't needed any mods anyway. This renewal was Direct Line - previous quotes from them have been...

Anyone in Stoke or Liverpool? - Still looking for shopping help.

Thanks for the offer, had a guy from another forum try and reserve a few in both Stoke and Liverpool. Then Toys R Us called to say that actually didn't have any in stock. I've managed to get a couple off gumtree, getting posted today. Thanks for the offer. Craig

Anyone in Stoke or Liverpool? - Still looking for shopping help.

Hi everyone, still trying to lay my hands on a couple of these toy guns: http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Toys-R-Us/Outdoor-and-Sports/Garden-Toys/Light-Strike-SR-Assault-Striker(0088838)?searchPosition=5 Looking at the reserve and collect options, there seems to only be stock in either Stoke or...

Help out cub pack? Need light strike guns!

Found out that Home Bargains have been flogging these off dirt cheap and Tesco have been clearing out twin packs of the guns for £10 - sadly none in Edinburgh! If anyone should be dropping in to these store and sees them, gimme a shout! (A PM should get to my phone pretty quickly) Cheers, Craig.

    Engine/Tank/Filter Warming Help

I find that premixing out of the tank with petrol up to 20% helps keeping the veg flowing, but the old girl likes a splash of real diesel in there too, but that just gets added at the pumps when I remember. Recently topped up with 40L of cheapo soya oil with about 10% diesel slapped on top -...

Help out cub pack? Need light strike guns!

Hi, Bit of an ask, I'm trying to set up a few retro computer games for cubs with them playing the part of pacman, space invaders etc.. For some of these games, like asteroids for instance, I need the kids to be able to shoot at targets, preferably without me having to run round picking up...

We'll see how it goes on Sunday after the rot has been cut away, not expecting much but daylight left after that!

Box section and tube for SWB Terrano or Maverick Sill Replacement

Cheers, I'm guessing my mate will know this already as he's done years of welding in the past. I will have a go while he's there as I want to learn this 'ere dark art of sticking bits of metal together. I presume the inner sill join will be the hardest just from an access point of view. Fingers...

Box section and tube for SWB Terrano or Maverick Sill Replacement

Given I'm so far away, I've just been to collect a couple of 80x40x3mm box section to replace the rust. It'll be my mate that's doing the bulk of the welding, but I'm curious how you get the thicker box to weld nicely to the wafer thin steel left after the tin worm has been munching? Do you end...

Box section and tube for SWB Terrano or Maverick Sill Replacement

4mm seems a bit thick, will that not make welding to the existing metal a bit trickky? Bit far away for me, but I'm thinking of doing the same repair. so the 80mm faces downwards and the 40mm faces to the side of the truck? Is the tube welded to the bottom outer of the box section then - is...
