    best tyres on the snow

Have to say that when in 2wd the T2 is much worse than a standard car but on 4wd it is much better. I think it is just being so used to front wheel drive.

    best tyres on the snow

many thanks for the replies. The reason for the post was that my T2 got stuck in the snow. I was pushing it though:naughty and i hate being beaten so I thought I might get new tyres and try again! My current ones are legal but will need changing soon. Thanks Lee

    best tyres on the snow

Hi All whats the best tyre to run on the snow? I have standard H/T M&S tyres on but see that scorpions S/T are recommended in the handbook and wondered if they would perform better or worse in the snow. Regards Lee

What was the review like? Did they take it offroad? I have always liked the look of the X5 but it is really just a big car.

    1st gear judder

Thanks for the reply mate. I did wonder if it might be the 4WD since I dont normally reverse after taking it out, since I will do it next time whilst reversing out of the drive. So it may well have been a ???sticky hub. dont know if this is possible or if the 4wd did not disengage fully. :thumb2Lee

Hello 4x4 riders, you're my only hope :)

Hi and welcome you are right. Under the seat where the wheel brace is (or as you call it the bolt wrench), there is a long metal rod which connects to the jack. You then insert the wheel brace onto it to make a handle to turn the thing. You can get them on ebay or look on here, since a few of...

    1st gear judder

Thanks for the reply. I had thought about it but it is so intermittent. In the cold weather my T2 always takes a few seconds to get going but never ever felt it when driving as a judder on first. And also it will judder when the engine is soundign normal. Regards Lee

    1st gear judder

Hi All Wondering if any one can give a few ideas as to what may be happening. Basically when moving off in 1st, there is a definite, severe judder between 1000-1500 revs. It only occurs in 1st. It is only intermittent - usually drives fine and has happened twice only. All other gears are fine...

    locking wheelnuts

yeah. It was really easy to remove them. i suppose it does take longer to remove the nuts and it is much noisier since I needed to smack the socket with a hammer to ge the embedded nut out of it once it was off the wheel. As a 'by the way' when I remived my locking nuts, I replaced them with...

    locking wheelnuts

halfords do a lock nut remover. Same thing happened to me recently. It only cost me a tenner from them and it fits over the lock nut with a reverse thread. Once it catches on the nut it gradually tightens until the nut loosens. Regards Lee

    wot do you think ?

I joined via a recommendation from Jonathon on another forum. It has certainly saved me alot of money with all the guessers. And if the guessing is wrong, i can always go to a dealer and remortgage the house. Just to add another little kernal intot he mix, I went to a dealer with an ABS light...

    wot do you think ?

well all I can do is guess cos I am shit with vehicle repair! All I am saying is that I have had the same symptoms for the length I have owned the car and nothing has happened to it - no loss of power, no fault codes, no repairs, no probs with MOT. If I took my car to a nissan garage it would...

    wot do you think ?

mine does this when cold and occasionally when changing down a gear to overtake. It happens more in the cold. I have just put it down to the older type engine of the T2 and have not worried about it. If you are wanting to reduce the amount smoke coming out the back, then fire in some regular...

    Lots of Terranos/Mavericks few members

I dont think that we are use internet to the same degree as the English. All you have to do is look at the Irish ebay site to see that most of the sale items are from England. I think we are more likely to go down the pub and find a mechanic/tyre fitter etc having a pint and ask him:rolleyes...

    ABS weird on ice

Hi Daniel If you are running on HT tyres then the ABS will kick in more often than on an ordinary car. However, the brake pedal disappearing in the floor is not right. I personally would not go out in it until it is looked at. Regards Lee

What do you think of this?

The church still has an inordinate amount of control in education in both the north and the south. I seen something on RTE recently stating that 90% of schools have church input. 100% of schools in the North have church involvement. Whether we like it or not, the UK and ireland are changing...
