    We will remember them......

Just got back from marshalling Chatham Remembrance parade. We were one of 2 sweep cars to protect the rear of the procession. Today would also have been my Dad's birthday as well, so double remembrance for me.

WJ did not start easily today !!

Maybe it was not the brake pipe, but the fuel pipe that was corroded.:lol:lol

WJ did not start easily today !!

good luck, only problem is, how do you run it down, if it won't start when the tank is under 2/3rds full?

    Hi

I found it in one of the T2 Service manuals I down loaded the first time I had the problem, a long time ago now, and can't remember exactly where any more, but basically, you have to stop in each of the Off, accessory, run, back to accessory, and then off positions a few times without actually...

    Hi

Well done. It's almost like you have to cycle through the various methods, what works one time, won't always work the next, but something else seems to... Hard part is remembering the methods, as once everything is working, it can be a long time before you have to remember them all again...

    My Grand Cherokee 3.0 CRD

Cheers... The Whelen (sp) flasher one, that does the side marker lights is audibly noisy, it uses relays to isolate the circuits, and so I could not accidentally leave them on, I mounted the control box on the rear base speaker box, so they make a very clear ticking in the car, using the back...

    A sad day

I did offer him to return her to my house, and I would give him his money back, but he knew that I meant it, as he has been trying to buy her for 8 months, and this was the first time I relented. I hate selling cars on, as you just know something will go wrong. At least he has seen her with me...

    My Grand Cherokee 3.0 CRD

Funny you should mention the light, I spotted when taking the video and it was changed the next morning. She has her MOT on Thursday, and I had already done a check over last week, to make sure everything was ok, so I was a bit miffed to spot that. Will have to do one final check Thursday...

    My Grand Cherokee 3.0 CRD

Just thought I would show the Jeep in "hazard" mode. We were patrolling Danson Park, in the Live firework area, so I got a chance to take a video. The only lights not on, were the revolving beacons which are also in with the roof leds. https://youtu.be/WsyHsuN1PZU Hard to miss! Sent from my...

    A sad day

The Fuzzmobil went today... She put up one hell of a fight not to go though..:nenau They came this morning to look at her, and said they would be back between 5 and 6 this evening to collect her. That gave me the rest of today to get all the stuff out of her that I wanted, and to be honest...

Stitched Up by a Double Glazing Company

The problem with the Eurolocks is that while they all look, work and fit in fundamentally the same way, they come in different lengths, and offsets. Our back doors are 35/35, the French windows, 35/50, and the front door 45/45. That is basically the measurement in "mm" from the point the key is...

    Clutch Master Cylinder

I think you might have to get your son to do it, as it does require a far bit of contortion work to get under the dash. There is the pin, and when you put it all back, you need to take it in and out a few times to get the adjustment to the connecting shaft the right length. Then getting the nuts...

    A rant

Thanks for that, we will look into that as it looks like that may be the best option. I have been round all his work now, as I found so many mistakes. On the electrics, he never twisted any of the wires together, so in one socket only one earth was in the terminal, and on another, only one...

The story of our Red T2, Jiggly (Project thread)

Well, Jiggley passed her MOT today, no advisories either. She only did 1500 miles last year as well. I did the usual check over, and service, the only extras were changing the rear diff oil and the rear tiebars, which were the only advisory from last year, which I forgot. Very pleased with the...

    Spot Weld Drills

The one I have has a centre pin that sticks down, a hollow circle around that, then as you say a couple of cutting edges on the outside. Only used it a couple of times, but found the centre bit drilled right through, but the outer only drilled as far as the hollow bit would allow it, till it...
