Gaah! Won't be fitting my springs this weekend

Just out of interest if you have standared shocks on would you mind telling me your current ride height, the measurement from bottom of wheel rim to bottom of wheel arch. I went by the pedders web site that said 780 front and 790 rear so i added +50 springs expecting to get 830 front and 840...

Gaah! Won't be fitting my springs this weekend

Just had new springs on mine and the garage said back ones where easy but fronts where a pain due to springs being so strong, just as well because first time i had the wrong rear springs fitted so had replaced with the correct ones and even then had to add a packer to the rear to level car...

    Wanted - Patrol wheel

Think 98/99 are missing the raised bit down middle of spoke, nearly purchased one by mistake a while back. Kind regards Russell. Ps I guess this means the patrol is supplied with a steel spare .

    Teerano are so narrow

Maybe I should get a Terrano ??? Entered a Trial competition on Sunday basically 10 gates (canes stuck in the ground) that you had to drive through with out touching or stopping. I was the biggest car there by a long way it was a bit like they had row boats and I had the local ferry, I was...

    Come on and meet up!!

Like buses to many events coming along at once, I was originally going to Yarwell tomorrow but now going to a salom event run by a local group otherwise would have been well up for chucking the Patrol around whaddon for a few hours. Let us have feedback on this as I have done whaddon on a bike...

    Engine warm up

I like to try and get at least half a minuite at tickover before driving and then first mile very low throttle and never rev before switch off. The patrol has a warm up switch, which if you switch on increases tickover to 1200 rpm never used it when changed coolent to get it up to temp quicker...

    Teerano are so narrow

Have had some great times at p&p my favarite is Yarwell where I have had my car on 2 wheels whilst underwater and pivoting on its belly at the top of a very high cliff etc etc. but this was basically a couple of holes dug in a field done to annoy the neighbours as owner has been refused planning...

    Teerano are so narrow

Well I survived it though not sure if finger broken or not as yet but my Patrol was just to long for this site, needed winching out after just 5 mins driving, was basically a field with lots of bomb holes but mine just fell into them on the front bumper and sat on its belly. Ended up going round...

    Teerano are so narrow

Ironman springs giving a 50mm lift but I am expecting a bit more as arch height is about 15mm lower than standard which is probe cos it is the original 10 year old springs on it so have prob sagged a bit. Not changing shocks at the moment do not need to on patrol if only lifting 2 inch but will...

    Teerano are so narrow

So your cars may be a bit on the narrow side but 5 pages later only one owner appears to be narrow minded, they say there is always one. Lets face it no Terrano or Patrol owners where hurt in the making of this thread and I have spotted width comments inspired by this in other threads. On a...

    Patrol rear door light switch

My patrol did exactly this some time ago from memory there is a rubber cover over the rear door switch and I folded a small piece of card and put it in the rubber over the end of the switch effectively making the switch longer and I have not had the problem since. Hope yours is the same as this...

    Could be Jobless soon

Alex good luck what ever the craic turns out to be for you. You could apply for job at my local Nissan dealer as they seem not to understand the word service and always substitute the word slow in it's place. Seriously a year ago last August came back from holiday 1st day back at work boss said...

    Teerano are so narrow

The problem in the Patrol is that I do not fit through the gaps I think I will and end up with bumpers like this.

    Teerano are so narrow

I am going to call the smaller door on the back of my Patrol "Terrano" as it is too narrow, on my Trooper the smaller door was approx a third of the opening and quite useable but the Patrol is only about a quarter of the opening meaning I have to open both most of the time.

    Teerano are so narrow

Not in hiding just been working, sorry guys but with that big spare wheel in the middle and the car being so narrow, it reminds me of one of those sit and ride toys with the steering wheel moved from the front to the back. Look on the bright side it is over 12 hours since I spotted it and...

    Teerano are so narrow

I think it must be the spare that amused me, as that one looks ok but the spare wheel looks so big.

    Teerano are so narrow

Parked in Sainsburys's tonight next to a Terano first time I have seen one in the flesh so to speak. I assumed that as they are 2.7/3.0 engine and 7 seaters that they where similar to Patrols but how wrong I was, what funny looking cars they are ! sorry if upset anybody but honestly they are...

    Car Park

Be lucky you don't have a heavy Patrol, I have used two lines of paving slabs at 45 degrees to the main drive to park on for a few years now, parked my IS300 Lexus, Honda CRV Izusu Trooper on them no problems sunk nicely flush with the grass and never moved, now the Patrol comes along 75% of...
