Could have been worse I suppose ... it could have been a Bull

bad luck mate,

we've had a mini crime wave since clocks went back though
reducing now its too cold to hang around, the yoofs that is.

fences, caravans, cars, patio doors eith trashed broken into
or damaged, old folks intimidated.

what i did was carded all my neighbours, saying hi to those
i didnt know. if every one is aware, wont right off their suffering
as quick, then bombard local plod. and if few take it into their own
hands well, saves rest of a job...

best thing is now i've worked out one of our plonkers lives round
corner, nice house, 4x4, caravan etc. think would know better but
most of it is boredom driven. rest assured on borrowed time. will
make sure he hurts himself next time. axle grease, anti vandal
spikes etc.

hay with your goat, youll get on well with the turkey Lady

they do electric nets for keeping poutry in, but i suspect anyone who steals turkeys probably has a bit of livestock experience and the electric fencing wouldn't stop them :( as if you are experienced with it is possible to get round it one way or another.

Yes they can Plank but i wired it up to the door handle

I had a lot of noise yesterday early hours
turkeys all kicked off too a load of racket
I shot out of bed with an air riffle but when I got there they had gone turkeys safe   The thing is I would be in the wrong in the eyes of the law
It is just a mad mad world.

Still got my turkeys but a few in the area have had theres taken.
  Hard work money down the pan

it sounds o ver the top but I once rigged up a simple alarm, a clothes peg with drawing pins pushed in the face and a pice of cut off plastic botttle to keep them apart, then a fishing line trip wire to yank the plastic out.

Attatched to a blue domestic alarm box strobe and 120 db siren!

it all runs off a 12v battery and can be put virtually anywhere, would this idea help? if only to alert you to the intruders.

of course the trip wire needs to above the height where wild life will set it off, but then again if it is a fox coming them maybe the low wire is no bad thing

It is pretty easy, and you can usualy pick up the alram bits at a boot sale, and old wall mounted alarm box with the bits inside will have all you need!

And with a simple circuit is doesnt go off until you turn it off, or replace the trip wire, so it keeps going iuntil the battery is flat.

cheap and easy, a blue strobe is good as it has that police car feel to it, so maybe a pschological edge

Well they got a shock last time and all the noise from the turkeys must have seen them off
But like a fox I think they will be back so need a new thing now.
Your idea may take a bit of time to put together but Ummm it has me thinking
Thanks

The longest and most difficult thing is getting all the bits, i am a bit of a magpie aqnd keep cables off old hoovers etc so alleays have bits of wire and stuff, bu the thing itself it very quick and easy.

Maybe for next year of not this, if I ever get to Norflok I can come and help you with it
