snow and the effects of the cold

so after waiting for the white stuff, it came. a new alternator and belts were replaced yesterday, and today a new battery , however i managed to get on some parts of shugborough estate where i work and play on some lanes there very nice , first time playing in my truck since i got it , anyone else got a r3m out there and been playing? ::clap :clap:clap
 
We've had loads of snow, over the tops of wellies amounts.

Just by the by , this was the A19 at 2:45 this afternoon. Its usually chocka and full of Horace and Doris couples in small hatchbacks weving around returning from the nearby retail park.

FFS stopping keeping it all to your selves up there in the North East, we want our share:lol

I went to the local recycle/waste point and the bloke I spoke to down there said the trucks read minus 9 this morning about 6AM.

Dont know how cold it was here last night but I had to put more antifreeze in today. Truck was lazy starting and then squeaked a lot. Had a quick spy and almost stuck my hand to the pipes:eek:
Top n bottom hoses felt like I was running slushpuppie:augie
 
started snowing again here, about an inch so far and a steady stream of it falling from the sky :thumb2 :thumb2
 
coming down like 50p pieces here at the moment, no work tomorrow hopefully :thumb2
 
ok no pics as cant be asked we now have the white stuff :lol adam bless has gone to work what a trooper n iam here with the 2 dogs and the quality street:) :thumbs
 
ok FINALLY we got proper snow. im talking about 6 inches ish. brushed the snow off Mav, put it into $wd for the first serious time, and off I went, straight up our hill and away. kept putting it back into 2wd though when i hit the slushy tarmac, is that right, or would i be ok to leave it in 4wd full time even when the gritters have been out and the roads are just slushy??

it was uneventful, but i am very pleased!
