Which would be better 7" or 8"

Have decided to buy some black steel wheels to clad in new yokohama geolander A/T-S G012 tyres.

What is the best rim size for 235 wide tyres, 7" or 8".
Apparently both will work, but would one be a better option than the other and why. The 8" are a little more expensive but not much, so would rather pay the extra if they proved to be more beneficial than the 7"
