well i am hoping the instulation of cb should go without a problem, want it so i can remove it when not in use, just debating if i need a electronic artifical gound things so i dont have to bear the metal work

went roof roof rack/rail mount thought i could easly get this on/off the rails on pathy

Ah ha I see now I don't know much about these things but you don't need to go scraping the paint off. The coax is part of the earth I'm pretty sure. It's just you get a smaller ground plane thingy when it's on a rack or gutter, but unless you're trying to transmit over miles I don't think it makes much difference.:augie
