what is the best coolant to use

morning to all . I have a 2.7 tdi t2 and my coolant is a greenie grey colour more grey and I want to do a coolant change . what is the best coolant to replace it with and easiest way to flush the old stuff out ?

There are others of course. But green is best, although I have used blue in the past.
TIP:- Either way, take a sample, put it in a plastic bottle, then into the freezer, check it in the morning to see how effective it is in the real cold. Of course it doesn't tell you how good the rust inhibitors are...:doh

You want the Green if possible mate for these trucks, easiest way I found to drain the system was to undo the jubilee on the pipe on the bottom of the rad and then pull the pipe off into a bucket.

I've heard that the green is better for these trucks because of the high glycerol found in it which coats all of the internals of the cooling system

I always use green anti freeze on these engines:thumb2 mines got blue in at the min but that will change one thing don't use the red OATS stuff as it'll react with other types of anti freeze & can eat at the metal work of an engine:doh

where can I get the green from I have tried euro car parts and all they show when I put the reg in is blue.
