hi people where do you guys spray waxoyl and underseal the underneath of t2. I have ask all my local garages if they would do it and they all said no too messy . I tried to hire a post lift and they said I can hire it but not to do under sealing . I can't do it out side on the road as people have complained to the council and since I rent they have sent a letter saying I'm not allowed to work on my car outside . just need to get it done before it to late

I used to underseal new cars when I was an apprentice many, many moons ago - not a nice job, hence the apprentice did it. You have to cover up the bits you don't want to spray - brake discs etc, I think you can waxoil into the sills if you have an access point, also in chassis. I was bodySchultz I used to use, a can that screwed onto an air gun.

you have some sh!tty neighbours if they have complained for working on your car.

Depends what he has been doing:augie

We had one neighbour banging his Astra with a large sledge hammer...
It was midnight, on a Sunday, and kids were asleep, I said, that he had probably lost track of time, I know I have at times, anyway he apologised and downed tools.

Better than saying shut the f*** up... and causing confrontation.

It's not what you say at times, but also the way you say it.:thumb2

I live in a council house & got the same sort of letter off our council stating you can't work on your car on your drive or outside your house:eek::eek: I filed that letter away in the bin:naughty:lol undersealing is a messy job but if you cover the ground there the drive/road will stop clean & any tiny bit that do hit the ground are easily removed with WD40 or paraffin:thumbs there is no chance i'll stop working on my motors on the drive & they'll have to kick me out first which would be doing me a favour as this estate is a cr*p hole:doh

I do feel sorry for you people with neighbours, no such problem here, Rick

Yes envious of your surrounding. The closest thing to you is some horses and cows :lol not many complaints from them I bet.

I don't know, sounds like Dave 123 has a moaning cow near him :augie:augie

I really don't see the problem as long as its not too late or early & u clean up after yourself properly :thumb2

.....Says me who can never get her nails clean....currently its paint & moly grease :augie

I've got a nice double garage:augie, I need it with this terrano :doh

There is no rules on working on your car on your own drive as long as you are not making noise above 56db after 7Pm. Some of these enforcement departments get power drunk and spout all sorts of B011ux in letters.
There may be a case if you were constantly doing work on cars in your drive i.e for other people or reward. Not all of us have the wallet to take our cars to the garage every time something goes wrong so we have to mend it ourselves. Stick to your guns!! :clap

Yeah +1 on this, they surely cant enforce that you CANT work on your car...

Does this mean you cant check your tyre pressures and oil level :nenau c'mon..

Worst thing is old engine oil from a diesel car.

If you wear rubber or latex gloves, the oil still gets through any small holes or tears.:doh

Waxoyl tends to dissolve the latex gloves:doh and makes great hair gel...:doh
