looking for a water pump for my 99' 2.7tdi . just rang round a few local suppliers . all quoted around £80 . just looked at euro car parts similar price but have 25% . anyone recommend .. thanks Dave

Do a search of my recent threads, I had one off eBay for £70 iirc was a QH part and the cheapest one from a decent manufacturer I could find

Thanks for replys guys . ordered pump . gasket not included , I was just going to use sealant , is a gasket necessary with sealant ?

Scrape all old gasket off block, then use some emery cloth to get rid of pitting, I also use brake cleaner to get it really clean. Degrease new pump face with brake cleaner also. Then use a thin smear of copper rtv all over both sides of gasket and when tightening up do it bit at a time in a diagonal pattern from side to side
