 , it appears I have a water leak, not too sure where from though, have found water dripping from the plastic roof liner trim at top of rear door, can't see where its getting in though, only possibility is where the aerial is, its not fully secure and has gaps round bottom, do you reckon this could be the cause? any help would be very much appreciated

Mine does'nt have a seal either & have been waiting to it to leak  To find out for sure it would make sure all is dry if you can then put a hose onto the roof & tape it in place if it's just you doing it & climb into the back & see what you can find

cheers mate, can't get it dry to do that yet, got a broken trooper in garage  and brother needs to borrow Terrano tomorrow so having to park it in rain :( , it not pouring in, hopefully its just the aerial bit, can just silicon that up and thats it. other wise can't think where thats coming in?

Can't harm it to seal around the aerial can it. When I bought mine from the dealer 6 years ago (was it so long ago) the aerial leaked there.

Leak

A healthy amount of vaseline when dry and no hose please allow the elements to deal with the problem. Please try and choose a time when the motor Is not being used and the weather is bad ,Maybe one of your'e frends has a damp meter take a reading before and after It wont take a rocket scientist to sort it out all the best . Ps please let me know how you get on best wishes & kind regards

Took roof lining off at back, water round the aerial, unbolted aerial mounting, cleaned up on to and pumped some silicon round it and inside, bolted areial back on, waiting 12 hrs for it to set, can't see the silicon on the outside, or inside as roof lining covers it, hopefully solved
