Water in drivers footwell

Hi everyone new member here and i've got a question for you all already.

I have a 3 door terrano commercial van 2002 and for some reason the drivers footwell is always wet i have had the carpet up and lucky for me there's still a floor there , but can't see were it could be coming in any ideas folks ? door seals seem fine and no wetness anywhere else to be seen.

i eagerly await any suggestions

Hi Stabs :smile: there has been a few threads about this in the past.If you have a sunroof it might be that the drainage tubes are blocked at the bottom of the wings. IIRC there has been a few members who have had a seam leak under the windscrean scuttle panel

HI you will find drain under the wing has blocked with muck, firk it out with your finger and should sort it out.

If you go to the Workshop downloads and look for W33 might help with the leak, otherwise check for loose bungs in the floor under the carpet.

been working on this problem for a week now so this weekend i ripped out the seats the rear cage the ply lining the carpet and centre console all the side plastics

Finally found out that the rain water is coming through the van side panals where normally there would be a window its running down into the sills and through to the front footwell. also realised that it was the same in the passenger footwell. so now i found the problem i need to find a solution any help would be apreciated don't want to take panels out just want a quick fix is there some kind ot spray gunk i can just cover the thing in that will seal it.

Also fitted my new 15" alloys and new spare wheel carrier got some new seats waiting to go in when i sourse a carpet and fix the problem

Dry the area out thoroughly, possibly a hair dryer may help but watch you don't bubble the paint. Once dried I would be tempted to blather the inside joints with something like Sicaflex, not sure what the exterior is like but if at all possible it is better to seal the outside so there is no dampness trapped to cause rust.

When I was in the motor trade I used to use something called drip check & you could paint over it in about 10mins:thumb2think it was made by 3M

is the phone number on the flyer the right one now that ownership of the club has changed hands.was gonna print a few off and put them on the winscreens of the mavs and t2's round here.got to be at least six in my local area.
