:eek:Think i'd have backed up in a straight line instead of trying to turn around or that's what it looked like the driver was trying to do

tried it several times, each time get an unrelated vid of rubbish, so have not got the gb available to do it, sorry Rick

When I click link it says not available on mob (or ipad in this case)

I've tried it too and it says that it is blocked in your country. Think it's summat about copyrights.

So go on then someone explain, what is it

Maybe taken it a bit slower? :nenau and like Banshee says definitely not have been full left lock!

Reversing down a steep axle twister with a fully laden Y60 (well any 4x4 really )is a thing to be done very slowly AND defo no big steering wheel action.
easy to comment from the keyboard but lessons to be learned there guys ;)
Another reason I hate loads on the roof.

Ouch just been able to watch this. Poor dude :(

Still, you learn from this stuff, he wont do it again!!!

Definitely a straight line reverse with no steering moves, the top loading on the top rack alters the vehicle dynamics completely, so a difficult manoeuvre at the best of times, but worse under sludge conditions......glad no one was hurt....looked grim...

Would defo of had insurance

Aus insurance is different to ours. They all have a basic third party cover as a license holder. Then on top of that you buy your vehicle cover if you want theft or fully comp etc.
Rick try this

:nenau easy for us to comment but in real life a split second bad decision can end badly.
Slow and steady always best in situations like that:thumb2

I thought this would spark a debate :sly ( in a good way ) hence why I put it on :augie

My opinion is ALWAYS REVERSE IN A STRAIGHT LINE DOWN HILL but as Elty said, a split decision wrong mistake or possibly the tyres stuck in a rut can lead to that miss hap...
