I know it's a big ask, but are you going to take a few pics of the wheel bearing job as you do it.

I think mine might be going south on the near side wheel, but I have never done one before.

No problems if it is to much hassle though, and good luck with the fix!

Regards

Alan

I'll do a guide mate for the downloads section :thumb2

I did one on my drivers side and messed it up before but I was shown by the mechanic at work what I'd done wrong lol

Thats how we all learn on here.

Just pm bat21 link to thread land ask him to make into a download

Biggest problem I had with the bearings was knowing how tight to do the adjusting ring.

Last time when I attempted my drivers side one I forgot to remove the old racer and out the new one in with it lmao and I wondered why it wouldn't go back together

I've been told to tighten that threaded washer as hard as you can just using the head of a screwdriver and then back it off ever so slightly

I have the same noise as you describe.done the wheel bearings, discs and pads so I just put it down to the tyres I'm running on.
Turn up the stereo always works for me:lol

Thing to remember about tapper roller bearings, is if there is play then only bottom most rollers are taking the load, tighten it up with pre load and the whole bottom half of the bearing takes the wheel load, simples, so as said tighten by hand with screwdriver in the hole till you get around quarter turn after no play in wheel, and lock off, Rick

nah I couldn't do something like that lol
It would do my head in knowing there is an issue there that I was just masking up

I know this is def a wheel bearing issue as I've spun both wheels with hubs and brake calipers off and the passengers is soooooo rough underhand and loud it's untrue!!! It must have been all the wading I did in Wales last weekend
