Can anyone identify this pickup ? It's a Nissan, but what model .., from memory I reckon it's around 1986 model. .needs a gearbox ( lost reverse) if anyone can help it would be appreciated ..shame to scrap it ..excluding 'box it's in good shape .

didnt this chassis develop into the terrano2, so perhaps solution is closer to home.

In other countries it was called the Nissan Navara, or Path finder.
it looks like there were 2 and 4 wheel drive versions, and from what I can find, it could have a 2.4 petrol or a 2.7 td engine plus other options, but yes, could be close to home.

There was also a Haynes manual for that model too.

So what engine and transmission is in the pickup? is it 2 or 4 wheel drive, no transfer box on the 2wheel drive.

We have the WD21... it is also called a Terrano, and a R3M, and a lot of the bits off the pickup fit onto it.

From time to time, they come up for spares on Ebay.

Apparantly its a 2.4 diesel non turbo 4x4.
I'm just going on information I've been given and will confirm as soon as I see it. Could it be right?

Could be, there were other options listed, some smaller, even a 3 litre.
Plenty of information on the internet. Many were sold in Australia.
