my wvo is cleaner than new oil,new oil is only to 9-10 micron.

Ive had samples in jam jar in freezer for 48 hours at -8.9 and was still runny, when removed it recovers back to normal 10-15 mins.same recovery when it went solid after 3-4 days in freezer

samples at 12 then 24 hours had little change, clear and still useable, slightly thicker

.

I did some vids to show this but my photo bucket account was full so had to remove them, still got vids somewhere.

I removed from freezer and put it on the side,in real time you could see the oil change,i had a probe in oil and when clear was still well below zero.

It could be that required recovery time that screws up a 100%wvo over say the last week. The temp never went above zero for nearly a week and a half. Hit -10 at one point

My samples were sent to a lab for testing, and gave great results.

what did they test and what were the results

yer sure but that was on a jam jar size so a tank full will take longer to get effects of cold.

the water blocker filter is used when using wvo,and its not in the car its inline on your filter set uphttp://www.oilybits.com/filters/elements-housings/genuine-goldenrod-water-block-and-particulate-filters/prod_36.html

Iam on a twin tank set us,iam not talking about running a unconverted engine on 100% wvo.we only add oil to main tank but some diesel will flush into this thus thinning with a small ammount of diesel.prob about max 10%diesel.

Yep i found my mistakes and passed to my mate,he said your waggon aways goes wrong.!

things to look out for when vegin on twintank kit

1,carry a spare filter,and spare pipe,clips,ect

2,change oil spill pipes, and last little bung. They will leak !on veg they seem to be worse

3,dont use jubilee clips, they crimp pipe making it let air in.

4,dont loop fuel system, some do to keep heat in,but once fuel has gone through a heatexchanger its hot enough, also by not looping heat goes to tank warming oil.when looping air is a bugger to get out or to find out where it gets in.

5,have good oil changes at every 6000 miles

6,one that i dont dont again NEVER add petrol to veg for thinning, when you have a heatexchanger you can get a thermal lock on fuel lines,it makes for poor prefomance and could damadge seals on fuel pump.

7,keep it simple, over kill= more possable problems,a good system is one that works with little that can go wrong.design it to work well and it will.

8,Have a peep under bonnet now and again, sometimes you spot things that can be fixed before it fails, like pipes rub against each other, and clear filters can block or look dirty.change them before they block!

9, just cuz my mate.....yer listen to advise from others but ,each to thier own, what works for some wont work for others.I have learnd a lot by trial and error.. prove it to youresf that what your doing works.and if no else agrees with ya you know your right!

You put veg in a common rail??? wow iam suprised you still have that car!and not wrecked it..NEver put anything else part from diesel in one...

what year terrano became a common rai?

Terrano was never CR. The same old 2.7 block went right through until it ran along side, and was finally replaced by in final production, the 3.0 ltr Patrol motor, also not CR.

Just had a look on the bongo and we have a zexel pump on there as well i couldnt remember what make it was, but knew it was good to go ,been told on bongo club that its a bosch copy.

zexel should be no different on oil as our bongo is listed as a single tank conversion by a well known converter.....as is the terrano (part from3ltr)which needs a twin tank.

Been told in most cases of pumps packing up on oil is more down to hard driving on a cold engine.

so looking very good on oil,yes i know you were right....but had to find out for myself!!
