Will report back then :thumbs

--------------------------------------------------

New bloody EU Laws due in, in September 2012 will heavily effect the 4x4 off road market as the tread must be level due to on road grip :clap & NOISE
Another reason why off road tyres are hard to get in the bigger sizes as most tyres are being redeveloped like the KL71's which are about to be launched with level tread & wider openings :sly :naughty :D ( should of done it in the 1st place ) ready for the new laws.

Hence my above choice :sly :naughty :D :augie :thumbs

I use AT's all year round, to be honest Muds are crap on winter (and summer) roads and how much time do you spend off road? I go off road virtualy every day and still think muds are a bit OTT for 99% of the time :nenau

I got Muds on mine, but only cos i got all 4 with steel rims for £160.

Not sure what i will upgrad to when they die on me though. Thinking of getting some 33's

Okay, could be I'm simple and have missed it somewhere else, what sizes will run on a standard T2 without removing bits or wielding a big hammer?

My truck has a hideous mix of tyres on, Avon down one side, Maxxis and Kingstar on the other :doh. If nowt else I need to get the pair of Avon's onto one axle and at least all the black circles same original size - 235 x 75 x 15 - but I would like to sort something out before next winter comes around. (That's quite soon up here!) and maybe replace all 4.

As I spend too much time in Chelsea tractor mode and not enough time in the mud, I would be keen to put a bigger overall tyre on to get higher speeds on road at lower revs if poss, but I don't have the insurance to go modifying the vehicle. (hmmm, does that immediately discount different tyre sizes?)

I'm no really riders if they are, they r only 4 events,

as for mods i'm gonna try n see but I fully expect hammer n grinder 2 join me

I have read a few old threads and posts, and used a tyre size calculator and it appears that the largest tyres that will fit without mods are 31 10.5 15, though it has been suggested that front flaps may have to be removed. I am no expert just re-stating what has been said by other members.

also inner arch at back of front wing will need cutting or hammering back. With muds anyway
