I've just picked up 2 alloys with tyres in much better condition than mine. Tyres are like New but its not until I've got home and realised there 215's will these have much differerence over the 235's that are currently on the front ? Looks wise there isn't a lot in them ? Ta

Not really, but ideally u want to run same size tyres all round

Put smaller on front tho if u must, just don't drive in 4x4 on Tarmac as the wind up caused by smaller tyres won't be too good for it

I don't use 4x4 on tarmac, but in theory for now I can put them on and use on the road ?

Yes you can use them, but as Stinka says put the narrower ones on the front axle.
Only problem is if you get a puncture, you'd need two spares!:thumb2
