well just checked my offset on the alloys on an x reg 2000 and i have +25mm:( if i went for some 32mm spacers that would take it down to -7.5mm now would that be ok to run 265 75 16 think overall height will be 30.6 inches i think its a bloody mind field out there:eek:

Depends if you want to remove your rear anti roll bar I think, I ran 30s and I had so much flex they used to catch the inside rear arch on full articulation and the inside of one of the tyres got cut up by seatbelt bolts.

I personally would do it properly and get some proper rims with decent offset already. I personally don't like spacers, As you can't see if they are going loose as the wheel covers them.

rear arb is off i have +2" longer shocks with standard springs but ur dislocation cones so that spaces the rear by 40mm i have now raised front up by 35mm so the front is still lower than rear by 25-30mm my alloys at mo are shit +25mm:( the spacers i was looking at where the 1s with the stud extender so in theory if u check wheel nuts u check the stud extenders :thumb2 but that only gets me to -7.5mm offset will that be enough

I doubt it, Hard to say really.

How much are the spacers?

I don't like spacers either, I don't run them on my Chevette and defiantly wont run them on the Terrano, correct off-set is best option.

OFFSET :)
As for seat belt bolt probs, just cut the ends off. Secondly it's the pan hard rod that needs extending so that all's balanced

It will just arc inwards as it travels up, missing the edge of the wing

OK. So what about if you hit a bump and the axle travelled up the same both sides, would it hit the arches then ?

Yes, but you'd have to like do some 'dukes of hazard' shit to manage that :D

Yeah Mate, I thought you would probably have same offset as me, as trucks same year.

Or, maybe drive like you Mate... :nono

Yes but I've never bottomed the rear, the front many times before lift, but not the rear, I can't see it would be possible unless I were 5 up with a ton of sand in the boot

I see. Best you get the sand delivered then Mate. :thumbs

Thanks for the answers to all our questions Lads, as you will understand a set of wheels and tyres will set someone back £800 +/-, so it's best to do some good research. :clap :bow

Today as part of the prep for my Mavericks now overdue mot I have sprayed all the shiney bits of metal on the steering and the scuff marks on the rear arches where the tyres have been rubbing :) Good news is a rust patch on one of the sills was only on the surface so not a problem.

Have a look at tyres direct online, very good on price with rim/tyre combos.

I've had two sets from them. Sometimes works out not too much more doing it that way as they are already fitted etc.

Also if they don't have anything listed ring them up with your own combination and offset.
