i no its been done time and time again but cant get my head round the old tyre size will 31 10.5 15 fit the terrano with out any lift mods think could be muds:D

Mudflaps off, hammer front arch seam flat, adjust bumper bracket, and if u drive like me it will still catch on fast dips in road, I have that size and it wasn't right until my 2" lift

Even with mudflaps off and some hammering to inner arch mine used to rub alot when cornering going over bumps.

Neg 15-25 offset is also needed to stop catching on full lock

the 2" lift is that just the dislocation cones u put on the back i have some form fez and just cut cross in and welded the plate to the cone just have to fit them and make some brackets so i can clamp the cones to the spring hanger:D but how high can i go on the front

Yes I reckon mine is more like 50mm+ never measured it. You don't need to weld anything but Its up to you. I cranked my torsion to 30mm lower than the rear, this was at the bottom of thread and both sides were on the top bump stop ! Driving it first time it was under steering terrible when pushed, that was because there was no droop left so the inside wheel would lift almost off the road on bends :D chopped the rubber bump stop off with a sharp wood chisel and it was back to normal. Also in cranking front roars ion up so far you are increasing the spring rate a good bit, so it makes the front much stiffer which was perfect for me as my front really dived on the brakes.

I'm also adding some 6mm ballpoint spacers that I will add to top ball joints, then I need to sort camber and tracking finally as its all over shop at mo

The offset is key to running 31s without rubbing. As above, flaps off and flatten your flange :sly
Just remember also that some tyres aren't actually 31" even though the size says so. So ideally ring the supplier of the ones you want and get an actual dimension. Works better than "claimed" sizes and hence why some peoplecan get 31s on and keep the flaps etc:thumbs

they r secondhand off ebay with steel wheels so not full tread:eek:

I was running decent offset and 2" body lift and it still rubbed.

No, but I doubt they'll be positive offset on a shogun if they are minimum of neg 15 stock

I think I will probably end up going for standard 235/70R16 Mud's..

I don't know whether its worth all the hassle for a inch or so more height under the differential.

I've got +2 inch lift springs to fit. But I don't want to fit those and spoil the nice feel of the handling that it has now.
