turbo upgrades

ive been searching the internet to find an upgrade kit for a 2.7tdi turbo.

I want to get as much power as I can muster from my motor.
as I understand it I need to upgrade the bearings and turbine bits however my search came up with zilch.

anybody know where I can get the required parts :bow

or can I fit a turbo of something else?

Search for Garret T25 upgrades or you could probably fit the T28 but that'll spool up a bit later I think.
I'll try and find the guys I had do my cartridge rebuild. They were brilliant and would do what ever

You can have your original turbo re built and fit a bigger compressor wheel, it requires the comp cover to be re profiled to allow the bigger wheel to fit. No gain whatsoever unless you up the fuel too!! Your looking at about £450 for the rework and rebuild That's removing and refitting yourself. :thumb2

Ironically....The best way to up grade a TD27ETI is to ...downgrade it.

By all means get a bigger, better turbo charger. But the gains with the electronically controlled pump are limited even with a chip or piggyback ecu.

The TD blocks can handle alot...and i mean alot of boost. there are guys here running 24 to 30 odd PSI for competition, mine runs 18psi daily and can light up the rear tyres on tarseal.

The key to unlocking the horsepower?, the earlier TD27T or BD30T mechanical pump with a 12ml plunger. then get it on a dyno with a pyro gauge and go for gold.
