My terrano mk4 2002 2.7tdi has been plugged into 3 different readers at local
garages with code "Turbo Pressure" given, sorry only as word not number,

Previously when thought might be 86 over boost, members have said thats not
a code the tdi27 can give.

So based on saw it myself what does it mean please, typical symptons are
wont rev when started cold, wont exceed 1000rpm, previously had be max 1700rpm.

rebooting engine by key usually fixes after 2-3 times and warmed up.

can also suffer intermitently a sluggish nature once warm. feels like got caravan
on back when solo. never any check/mil light, though it comes on and clears as
test when engine started.

had new fuel filter,
had 5 in 1 redex fuel system cleaner in yesterday.

some times once running and reving, revs are slow to build slightly.
or get slight stutter in revs, or flat spot., all issues intermitent.

[FONT=Calibri, Verdana, Helvetica, Arial]I do not know if “Turbo pressure” as a fault diagnosis is the same as excessive or over boost, however the 2.7 can register an over-boost DTC. The ECU does this by looking for an abnormally high airflow reading from the MAF (turbo sucking too much air!)
So as a start, it is probably worth checking the MAF output voltage.

Damn!!!!!! I was genuinely going to write this and then read that Ray had put it and then my world ended

I would have looked so clever lol

Someone on here has a spare MAF at the moment, can anyone remember who it was?

PFT I put it on face ache last night :augie Nice to know Ray says so too though :bow

So buying a new maf seems to be place.to start. Does it ave to be genuine part
Think seen some as new probe others as the mount too.

I'd go new . S/H ones work but may be only marginaly better than yours. You need the voltage readings ideally to prove it's at fault. A std volt meter thing will do it :thumb2

don't just buy a new MAF without checking the old one first , or you could end up wasting a lot of money .:thumb2

That's off an 2001 which will be the old type for sure change over was around 2004 so only way to know which one is on is via the part No or you could be just wasting money as the old ones don't work on the later models:doh

cheers mine is mk4, 52 plate registered dec 2002

unplugged maf and started properly cold this morning. with normal 1300ish rpm
'choke'.

of late its been starting with 1000rpm limit, so issue affecting start up fast idle too.

ran few miles across city, was little flatter, but fine still and certainly better than
having to switch off and on during journey, performance ok so hope when put new
one in will fly,

not tested voltages yet.
