i no its been asked before but if you had the choice from either a box of ebay £100 with adjustment screw or £399 tunit box what would you go for and thanks for your reply in advance

you got this spump then??

Zexel diesel pump
No:doh. but it says in the text if u have bosch pump please get in contact, which i did phoned them and he said it will fit so should fit but dont no if its worth spending the extra £299 on tunit box:nenau

Cant speak for the T2 I fitted a psi.

For current car type (not on mine) the £100 adjustable ebay ones are the mutz bitz :thumb2

do exactly what they say on the box :D

If you ring the Tunit guys direct, they usually have what they call trade ins, refurbed etc. Still g/teed and go for around £200/250.
They work a treat on mine and Luvgluv's motor.
This ebay one probably does the same thing though:thumbs
The figures dont stack up though as the TDi is 125 bhp to start with:augie
However if they do "actually" get you 25% extra power I'd have it now:D

lmao, the jeep claims are a bit more modest than the tunit ones.

it easily manages 10% better fuel consumption and the "grunt" is definitely up though he hasnt measured it yet it is more powerful than mine:thumb2

very tempted

so how about this 1 http://www.donatorstore.eu/shop/ind...fo&cPath=3461_1368_3160_3161&products_id=7087 sorry same company but their website not ebay and yes rang them and none in not exp any in till the turn up so could be 3 days cpold be 3 years

Yes looks interesting, it implies there's a wifi switch off mode to:D
Seems a bargain not to be missed. If it works well I'd sell my tunit and get one too:thumbs
i will buy the speed box then and try it will let u no how i get on thanks for the replys:thumb2

It isnt necessarily better, depends on your circumstances Ive been told and worked out :thumb2

The Plug in we put in the jeep does the trick. doesnt matter about the theory and hypothesis really when the trucks going reliably faster and using less juice.

It cost £87

A remap if it worked , and many wont do it on the jeep / merc 2.7 is around £150 at very best and non user adjustable,

One thing most engine "tuners" will tell you (or told me) is if theres any running problems on the truck they will often return the ecu to standard map to make sure theyre working from a solid start line.

With a box, dirty hands and ten minutes. With a remap bye bye better performance and at least £150 at least.

As Len Fairclough used to say, "thumbs up"....

Tunit works a treat.:thumb2:thumb2:thumb2

And ditto with the "whats not safe about it?" A remap is not a good idea on these trucks IMHO because they seem susceptible to changes in ambient temperature and things like fuel. I have to tweak my Tunit back a notch to stop it 'fluffing' on the overrun when it gets cold or when I run SVO mix. You can't do that with a remap :nenau

I don't know the unit that Geoff is looking at and I'd be tempted to get some feedback from someone who's used it first....plus it looks like it connects to an underbonnet diagnostic socket that not all the T2s have (the Tunit is piggybacked into the ECU wiring loom).

hi no it uses the blue Scotch Lock to piggybacked on the pump wiring so i asume same as the tunit box will ask of instruction first thanks for all the replys:thumb2

interesting, Id like to see what Timbo makes of that....no the Tunit is wired into the ECU and I'm assuming its therefore different to that unit you're looking at otherwise Tunit wouldn't have you stripping the dash out to get at the thing.

so the tunit is not installed under the bonnet then

Nope, it piggy backs on the ecu. I think it tells the ecu the air temp is very cold and so ups the fuel to match, therefore making more oomph:naughty
