Got round to wiring up the winch at last today :thumb2 Several hours in a row with no rain :clap
Oiked out the old air box ( now redundant with the snorkel) to make a luverly spot for the solenoid :)

Had a little rearranging to do in order to get the solenoid high enough . Lengthened all the cables from the winch and heat sealed the ends up :thumbs All ends greased up now too :cool:

Remote sender just zip tied in place , simples :cool:
Testing the dynema tomorrow :sly

Just a jolly round Soar Y Mynydd and Strata , loads of water for some mega crossings :sly

Forgot to put this up but got the metal work painted now :D
Not bothered galv yet as I'll do it the same time as the back one , eventually:sly

Looks good, but tell me, is that dyneema? if so you seem to have the protecting sleeve at the hook end, I thought it should be on the first layer on the drum to protect from drum brake heat, am I wrong, Rick
 
sleeve at both ends ;)

mine have only come with one sleeve, and to be honest cannot see the point of the sleeve at hook end unless you slide it back to protect against trees etc, Rick
 
Sleeved both ends :thumb2 Keeps the dyneema safe when the end is hooked up on the car etc.
