Water pump I think, as its got a serious constant drip from front of engine, not had a proper look yet

Anyway i'm seriously pissed of as i'm having a long weekend in wales with the missus and 3 kids and was hoping to go in the truck

between this and the blue smoke that i cant sort and the fkn fact it goes into limp mode every 10 miles I'm pretty fed up with the piece of shit

meow :p
Water pump's all of a couple of hours if you still have all that plastic cowling stuff on :lol
What codes are you getting?

Well it behaves like the maf is unplugged after about 10 miles, so i turn the ignition off and restart and its fine. thats limp mode for sure

20 questions :lol
Have you been driving in big rain ? :augie
You could have got your maf wet down your snorkel. Have you got a water drain in that fancy air box filter thing ?

its dry mate, i have been taking it off once a week or so to see what debris collects from the fly catching snorkel, its sound

hmmm back to checking the codes then, cause if it's gone limp you need to read something exciting :lol

I'm thinking replace waterpump, take my wheels off, put the arb back on and put it on autotrader

Then buy a landcruiser like i should have in the first place ... :augie :thumbs

Joking apart, I was just thinking could the ram effect of a large front facing snorkel head with 3" piping cause my maf to be confused ???

It will be forcing air down and around the maf sensor perhaps creating vortex's that is confusing the maf

Then just take the head off, and try it.

Aye, that will he my next point of call, and if it's ok then I'll try rear facing

Nah, that's what the wire mesh thing is for. You've still got that in I hope

could it even be the oposite and the snorkle is somehow restricting the intake?

I doubt it, with 3" tubing and a free flow air filter

Makeitfit has smaller and longer tubing I think and his is the flexi stuff that creates turbulance, he's had no issues

has it only started limping since the snorkle went on?

it's just a thought, sort of back tracking to the last time it ran without limping and see what has changed. Maybe a kink in the pipe or a restriction where it joins the air box?

Or, as you say, maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree all together :nenau
