So, about 30 caravans turn up in the night, along with the police helicopter, and pull onto the local recreation ground.

There are now kids everywhere on bikes, and vans touring the streets.
The locals will not be pleased, the cops know this, and are stationed all over the place....

Any ideas on how I can simply disable the terrano overnight ?

Options so far: disconnect battery, but then alarm won't work

Remove a wheel....

We've got 'em in our local caravan park, pull the power feed of the starter solenoid:thumbs

if the scumbags want it badly enough theyl get it regardless. unfortunately the only thing you can do is make yours harder to steal than sombody elses. we had some gypos at work and we took the front wheels off of the vans and put them underneath ( the vans were on axle stands or pallets) and chained them to the struts. next day theyd been moved (the wheels) but nothing taken. theyre like locusts, turn up strip everything of value then go leaving behind all their rubbish.

sleep in the motor overnight .......with a shotgun :sly or
Hire me .:thumbs....I still do a little bit of Personal protection work for £400.00 per day :augie

Putting it up on bricks might work...........:lol

Some travellers were near to us at Christmas, they had those small red Mini Babybel's hanging from Christmas trees inside all the caravans, do any of you lot know why they do this every year ?

pull the ecu relay out !
and put a faulty one in, it will take them ages to find out,
it did me !!!!!

seconded or even better disconnect the fuel pump it will turn over but the bugger wont start so lots of cranking noise to alert you but no way will it start

If they really want it, they will just drag it away....

Well they are knowledgeable enough to know they cannot start it with out a key, the immobiliser on NATS 2 will stop them and would take too long anyway, no they would just lift and tow it, to work on it later, so stonking great chain onto something immoveable will slow them down probably enough to know you would be alerted by the commotion, next to that cctv to pin them after the act, more simply you could drive your motor onto a switch that if the motor is moved it connects a battery to a car horn, or flood lights etc, Rick

then they break a window to get round that, do not think they will be worried by allarm, Rick

have the hubs locked so they have to move it back to unlock them?, would be hard to move in 4x4, even with the clutch in

Some good advice already given. If your truck has got NAS 2.Then they will need your ignition key to drive it away.So be sure to keep the key safe.(Mine goes in the bedside draw, guarded with a world war two bayonet,hammer/baseball bat.)So dont forget your home security.Try leaving a couple of house lights on,tv/ radio.Plus any external lights.
As a last resort,is it possible to leave your truck parked at at a member of the family or friends over night. Also if you have the means to store fuel,as a last resort you could drain the tank.(Drain plug underneath)Then fiil up and prime it.Ball acher i know.None of this will stop them towing of course.

I look at it this way, if I was a Gypo and wanted to nick a T2 knowing what I do about them, I will be using a car recovery motor with ramps so winching onto the flat bed is no problem, or a tow truck with a "dolly" that is slid under the front wheels, in the case of the dolly cutting the HB cables is seconds and I would not be too bothered about it being in gear, Rick
