Anybody had any problems getting there tracking adjusted after lifting a maverick/terrano.Went to get mine done at a tyre place today they said mine was so far out they didnt want to risk adjusting it incase they made it any worse.Maverick drives straight doesnt wonder steering wheel is very slightly off centre but not much at all.I also had to put my smaller wheels on before they even checked it because my 265-75-16 are to big for the machine does this sound right?

Cheers Gav

There are tracking machines and tracking machines, and loads of idiots trying to use them, many without success, I would try another garage, lifting the body will have no effect on your tracking, Rick

Cheers mate going to take it to bush tyres who do lorry's etc.

Susp lift can affect tracking.

I took mine to my local mechanic, he has his own little workshop. had to put my smaller wheels on for his kit to fit on the wheels. :naughty

What I do not understand though, the tracking unit fits onto the wheel, not the tyre, and 16inch wheels are not that big, my V70 had 17inch as standard, and a lot of other cars do too, so why can't they do it?

The tyre tread and sidewall tread got in the way as it's the most extreme offroad tread you can get thats road legal. It was not the size of the rim that was the issue. It could not get a good footing on the rim without spacers to the tracking unit.

Those tyres will need scrubbing in. :augie

That's a nice shot, did you use a fish-eye lens or a photo programme?
