I have the chance of buying one of these on a 07 plate with 34000 miles on it, a friend is PXing it and has been offered 2500, this is a lot lower than they sell for at that age.
Anyone got any info on these cars, I have read a few sites and get mixed results :nenau

Also if your mate is not part exing, he may get a better deal on his other car.

We had the peugeot version new back in 2007 kept it 1 year not great car.Very small and only has 3 cylinder engine which only gave us around 50mpg.Changed it for laguna 1.9 dci and got same mpg

its low mileage, but then they tend to be all like that


The water pumps leak - look for wet crustiness

the clutch should be adjusted properly - there should be free play at the top of the pedal before any resistance is met. if the biting point is high, it needs a new one.

Water leaks - through arial base, high level brake light, door membranes, door seals, rear ventilation holes behind rear bumper. none are expensive to fix.

no engine problems other than the water pump - chain driven and reliable.

I've got a two year old one that I brought for work commute as I do a lot of miles currently on 38,000. Brilliant little car good on fuel and no problems whatsoever, I would recommend them Colin.

Cheer guys, it's just had a new water pump fitted and 4 new Pirelli tyres, she also has it service at Toyota.
The black model has alloys, electric windows, A/C, PAS, remote locking.
I'm going to have a look around it tomorrow

Deal is off, Just found out that the garage she is getting her new car from (mini cooper s 2007) was not happy with her selling the car and told her they will pull out of the deal.
She's set her heart on this new car and doesn't want to loose it, so is backing out of the sale to us. :nenau
I have told her she is being ripped off and her new car is not cheap and they will sell her car for a lot more, but she is hell bent on this new car.
