Towbar

Can anyone help?
I own a terrano2 2.7tdi se touring lwb 1998, and I have been offered a towbar off a Terrano2 slx td swb 1995. Are they interchangeable or is it a no goer?

You can make anything fit but as for the fittings...

Unless its the same bar i would guess no :nenau

All depends as to how your 1 and the other 1 have been attached

Chassis the best and propper way :thumbs

Or...

Towing eyes or shell :doh :nono

towbars are all the same swb and lwb from 1993 to 2005

post 5000 !!!

get a tow bar with just the 2 bolts so you can get any hitch to fit, but not the DAFT 4 BOLT one ive got. cant get any other hitch for it at all.

Id like to change it for a ball and PIN. but i cant !!!

The tow ball its self or complete unit

As above says (unless your unlucky to have the same as "Zippy656) any will fit :thumbs

Sorry I didnt make myself very clear. On my Terrano I dont have a towbar at all, so I am asking if the whole unit from the swb would go straight onto mine. Is it a straight forward job ie unbolting etc or is it very involved?

Any towbar from a mav or terrano will fit any other simple job to fit as the holes are already drilled in the chassis

hey zippy, there must be away of altering your towbar mate, pop into an engineering workshop and have a word, or pop down here i'll sort it for you.:thumbs:clap

If i can find a second hand two bolt one local it would be cheaper than driving to yours or getting a converting plate made in sure

I'd do as Tezzer said mate :clap get a plate made up or look on flee bay :nenau

& that is expensive for a ball hitch... £30 down this way
