Me again, does anyone know if there are different era top ball joints for the Maverick 2.7 TDi P reg?
I've recently fitted all new top and bottom balls and bushes and bearings basically rebuilt the front end:D
However the positive camber I had was awful:augie Found out there were diff. bottom ball joints and corrected them but not sure about the top ones. I still reckon I've got some small pos camber:confused:
I dont like it and my new tyres certainly wont:eek:

Hiya mate, I had that problem to with the wheels sticking out from the T2 at the top. I solved it by mounting the ball joint on top of the A arm instead under neath it. I removed the rubber boot from the ball joint and removed the metal lip with an angle grinder and it slipped in ok. Then I used the bolts from underneath the A arm to thread through to the ball joint and it worked and still running that way.

PICS :lol
I cant quite follow that? I had thought of opening up the hole in the top of the A bar/top wishbone to allow for some adjustment in camber though.
Why doesnt the ball come out if you've cut off the ridge?:nenau Or was it the ridge of the A bar you cut off? Will that effect the camber much though? Has it restricted travel too?

were yours nissan parts cos ours wernt.... nissan might be the way to go ill get it priced up

Travel was not affected and the ball didnt come out as there is only a small ridge to hold the rubber boot in place, once that is cleaned off the joint should slot in or you may need to make the hole a little bigger. I still have the calmini blue arms if you want to try them.
