Took mine off and cut the rot off and gained extra wheel clearance in the deal :clap
For the rest of you the plastic arches are the rust breeding ground from hell. The back ones are even worse as the body is attacked from both sides. The plastic studs that hold the arches on, go right through the body. It's at these points where the paint fails and the rust kicks in :doh
Anyone thinking of keeping the truck long term needs to tackle this job quick sharp

Oh yes, I forgot to say..... while we're on this subject
Has anyone dared to take off the wheel arch trims to have a look ...... I did and found that the trim is my wheel arch and the metal around the arches that the trim is supposed to be attached to is virtually gone.
