Tired of tyres.

Hi all, 1.5k on the machine since putting it on the road and all is as it should be
Now for the mods, I have a long list but i thought to start off with a tyre change, currently on Toyo A/T open countrys 265/65/17s but was thinking of 295/70/17 in Toyo M/Ts has anyone tried them on a standard Patrol or am i mad to try.

Work out a bit over 33". If they're muds they'll possibly be a bit chunkier than that.

From memory you can fit 33s on standard Y61 suspension but you might find they rub on flex. I'd say those ones you're looking at are probably pushing it a bit though as they're a bit more than 33.

I'd go for a 285/70 17 instead as at 32.7" they're a little bit smaller and will probably be closer to 33 in MT form

I cant find them in that size, 285/75/16", same 32.8" od, if i buy steel wheels would it be best to go +10 offset or zero?

Yeh that's a usual metric 33, I ran 285/75 16 on my Y61 and that's what I have on my Y60.

I'd say zero offset at least as the tyre will be wider.
