my nephew chris ( who knows everything about nothing lol ) told me to get a bigger turbo

On a petrol performance car that would mean greater top end with bottom end lag.!
Smaller turbo greater excelleration with limited top speed.!
Theres nout wrong with the turbo on the Terrano / Mistral / Maverick.!
Just need to adjust your acuator to bring in the boost & try & get more fuel in...
I've done me acuator but that only made a difference off road
So we're stuck like a pig in shit when it comes to hills & just hope you have enough speed left to get us to the top :doh :lol

Isn't there a thing you can do with propane, like NOS but with LPG? Or is it a bit of urban miff twoddle? :augie:D

My petrochemist friend advises 200ml of acetone or meths, premixed with 20ml of water (which keeps it in suspension before anyone starts giving out about 'water in the filter'.....water is NOT missible with diesel but it IS missible with the aforementioned chemicals.). Gives it a nice little bit of oomph....

no ... its huddersfield road out of brighouse , it goes over the motorway and ends up at fixby roundabout :thumb2 , as for cheepy 4x4's ... dont ask me im the last person to ask about buying cars lol
you aint kidding ..... pmsl:augie

and what amount of diesel do you mix that little lot to then

I do it for a 65 litre refill which is what I get when the fuel light comes on.....stick a bit more in on the first fill as the tank is 80 litres as we know...say 250ml and 25ml...you can leave the water out if you are nervous sweetie :kissy but my petrochemist says it enhances the burn - bit like the sizzling and popping in the chip fryer...its water exploding.

Go on, you know you want to....off to wales now, back tomorrow..laters xx

id even try upping the water a little

going to give the petrol thing a bash too for a giggle. i recon a couple of litres to half a tank should give some results

I've tried a couple of litres of petrol in the tank and didnt notice any diff:eek:
However I've been using some sort of combined cetane booster and inj cleaner chemetricery stuff I got cheap, and it's smashing:thumbs
Smooooth too on the old veg oil:sly

What a concoction, it is very missable as an additive, whether or not its miscible I dont know, thats chemistry , I did physics :D:D

Sorry Paul , couldnt resist that one :augie

More umph

Not tried it in my R3mR yet but I used to add some two-stroke oil to my high mileage petrol cars about a litre of the cheapest 2T oil from Morrissons to every tank full of petrol once a month and it upped the mpg a few mpg and it always started better in the winter.

I guess it helped the compression with all that oil round the piston rings and being self mixing two stroke it raised the burn temperature slightly as well.

Never had a problem with carbon build up. A mate of mine who works in the oil additative testing industry reckoned that 2T oil was 97 % same as addidng Redex and for a quarter of the price !

you want to stop chasing women Mr Briggie, it will only get you in trouble!!

I put two stroke oil in my diesel, it is suppose to help lubricate the injectors when using the low sulphur diesel, it seems to work.. bri
