Ok this is where im at right now on the Peaks issues.

Glass dont seem to want to let me join as a member and looking at what they did on the run last week, have very poor skills in organisation. We have been reading through what the proposals are for closing lanes and what TRO's have been put it. No one seams to have worked out that by restricting the 4x4 and only making lanes open to bikes this has caused more damage and speed issues. Giving the council more power to close them.

The big concerns are speed and damage, Glass have not picked up on this. This week we have spent a lot of time reading the information on the peaks site and found lots of holes that no one else seems to have bothered with, Glass are not even recorded as taking part.

What i am looking at doing is creating a site to protest the closing of the Peaks for EVERYONE to have a voice on, its not going to be a 4x4 site but its there for 4x4 people to have a voice, Glass dont want us to have that. We are happy to attend the council meeting if we can get a voice loud enough

The point is simple, they want to be running the show but need us for protests.
Being Gentelmenly has nothing to do with it, if you not know what your talking about your going to get beat. This is a fight, not a quite chat in the pub with your mates. I have a feeling there is a hidden agenda some where in the mist. We dont have to fight against others that are doing the same, we back them and show it more people than they thought.

Can anyone give me a reason why Glass wont let you join, its got to be better to have members behind you.

As i have stated we picked hole in lots of places that where used for closing lanes. WHY ARE THEY NOT BROUGHT TO LIGHT BEFORE THEY ARE CLOSED. Glass dont enve post them on there site for people to see.

SO its simple, do we do something more positive or let them do it, and looking at the lanes we have lost and the way they run things, i know my answer.

My idea on the site is to list all the 4x4 clubs that support the Non closure of the peaks lanes. I have run websites before and to be honest id sooner not bother anymore,i dont have the time or the inclination, but i feel very strongly about this and i have some good suport to help me push it.

Is this site going to suport us?

and me I'm in and will be available for lane driving , open or closed. I can muster up many other like minded souls too :D
Glass sounds so bloody familiar, as I said before full of holier than thou types with no backbones

count me in for written backup, but just too far for physical appearance, Rick

Thank you guys, your supor is great. I have also had confirmation from Jap4x4 and we are talking to Like minded Laners and have suport from them as well.

I would like to see a Modarator ofer full site suport, EI listing and pushing events if thats possible. Come on guys you know you want to. :thumbs

The fight is on

Lifted from another site... TRF Appeal

The TRF victory over the PDNPA and the Chapel Gate ETRO could be short-lived because the Authority has a meeting arranged for the 25th January at the PDNP Head Office to close it again.

I know its a Friday but its vitally important we make a lasting impression on the attendees to that meeting that they are messing with the wrong People. whilst we have speakers inside the meeting from the various user groups the Authority is just not listening to us and ignoring our rights.

We require as many Trailbikers and 4 x 4 vehicles as possible in the carpark at Alderny House BEFORE 9.00am to prevent visitors and members parking easily. We will conduct a Rally and Protest at the highest possible volume, complete with Placards, Banners, loud hailers and advertising. (Peak District National Park Authority, Aldern House, Baslow Road, Bakewell, Derbyshire, DE45 1AE)

This will only work if we are in the Hundreds. ( thousands would be good) we have to demonstrate to the Authorities that what they are doing by banning us from the Green Lanes affects a great number of people from allover the country. i implore every TRF Group, every motorcycle and 4 x 4 club to be represented and bring your vehicles ( road legal of course) and bring your Club Flags/ banners for identification as we will be on the Telly and all the papers.

After the Rally we will go out onto the lanes for a mass ride out, maybe more so be prepared.

The purpose of this is to persuade the Authority that it will be easier to work with us than Ban us. We want them to stop wasting the publics money and sit down and talk with us...........I want to be able to threaten the PDNPA that if they don't listen to us i have the power to cause them so much disruption they will regret the day they started this course of action and i can only do it if i have numbers. I can only do it if YOU care enough to take a day off work to be there on the 25Th of January.

Tell your friends, tell the Ramblers, tell everyone we are coming to Bakewell on the 25th........more the merrier. Please post this on your forums.

Great idea and woud love to help but will be in the Canaries at the time so can't come sorry but if you get up an e-petition would be happy to sign it.

No commitment jim, its only a short plane ride back for a few hours of protesting, thats all im asking, you can even fly back right after its finished. :lol

Moving fast now. We have support from lots of areas.

We have had confiermation that our .org.uk site will be seen as an organsisation..

Our next step is we will be asking for the minutes from the meeting that have been held to close the lanes, under the freedom of information act they will have to provide it.

As soon as the site is running all information will be posted there so we get a uniformed discussion going and not bits on 5 different websites.

A direct link can be created on here and all members will be welcome to voice opinions and concerns either for or against.

I may be able to come up if I can arrange a visit to a property we own in Lancs, kill two birds with one stone so to speak, Rick

Hmmm. I'll put my money where my mouth is . It'll cost me big time in veggie but worth it to get numbers up. I insist however to spend some considerable time protesting on the localities lanes afterwards.
Come on Kashmir and Stinky meet us there :sly
