I was out working till 3am and got a grand view of the light show last night/ this morning.
I have never seen lightning like it, it was like someone had turned on the day light at times, amazing.
And the rain, parts of Reading's roads turned into rivers in a matter of minutes

it woke me up! our road was like a river here too! last time i saw a storm like it i was in disneyworld in Florida!

The best lightening show I've seen & prob will ever see was flying back from Florida the flashes were every colour of the rainbow & truely stunning but it was scarry as hell at the same time as the plane was struck 3 times:doh We were ment to come back tomorrow but after managing to get wifi connection at tea time & saw the forcast we dropped the tent & came home early as our dog would go into blind panic being in a tent during a big thunder storm & would poss dig her way out not only that didn't fancy packing up a wet tent yet again this year:augie

Yup we were awoken with the lightning show last night, everyone seems to have a different time (depending on area obviously)

We were woken up by my freaked dog at 2:15

We must have watched for ten mins or so, seeing about 70/80 flashes of lightning. Best storm we have ever seen!!!

Lady on daybreak this morning said that this was not the storm coming

That's meant to be tonight :eek:

It's giving it some in Telford at the moment lightning wise

I'm sitting on top of Turners Hill in Tividale, 880ft ASL and it's truly stunning, smoking the good stuff and talking to the local lads on the CB

Got to be right

You must have been very high...
In more ways than one.

We just had a rumble or two, but I got up at 1:00am and disconnected the internet, we had a strike a few years ago, athat was very close and vaporised the hub, and two phones...

In fact the output of the low voltage power supply had shorted primary to secondary so the low voltage oitput was live...:eek::eek:
Didn't blow any fuses or trip the RCD either...
