Hi guys.

Whooo I get my car back tomorrow from the garage, the water pump has been fixed and car is back in one piece.....

Still has the issues of not reving up. And then having no power when you put foot down untill it has warmed up..... The guy who worked on car said the only thing he can think of now (as no little filter is present to clean out) was that the injectors could be worn out/blocked/buggered.....

Said to see if I could find a set of second hand ones from a low mileage car as would be cheaper than £200 each (rough guess on his part I hope). Looked on eBay and I could get a set of 4 for £189. But, there did seem to be a few different looking injectors on there for the same car.....

Mine is a Nissan terrano 2 1999 (S537 ERR) 2.7 turbo diesel intercooled.

What am I looking for if I want to go ahead and buy a set.....

Any help would be gratefully accepted.

Cheers Gary

Has anyone checked the fault codes yet ?

It's highly unlikely to be injectors

Have u checked the usual ?

Mini filter, corroded fuel lines, replace fuel filter, leaking fuel filter top/diaphragm

Then maf is most likely

But u need to check fault codes, delete them all, go for a drive and see which comes back

Anyone that is blindly guessing at a failure without at least checking codes isn't worthy of working on your truck

If no codes then perhaps a more hard to find problem like injectors but its pretty rare tbh

as stinka says most likely maf or fuel filter, definitely sounds like a fueling issue, i dont think it is fuel lines as that wouldn't rev when warmed up.

Hi guys
Changed the fuel filter about 3 weeks ago so I know that's ok. No leak either from the top or the bottom.

Will have a check of all fault codes to or row when I get the car back (if I can work out how to get them and then to clear them....)

I have a brand new maff unit sitting at home. So will take out old one and fit this one once I have done codes.

Will also get. Bottle of that diesel bug stuff too (marine16.. Or whatever it's called)

Cheers Gary

This is a cracking offer :)

Snap the offer up quick smart, it's what this club is all about:thumbs

Check out the downloads section in "Quick Links" as there is a how to guide for reading the error codes with a costly tool tho, haha a simple paper clip:thumb2

When people talk about leaks in the fuel system it doesn't allways mean fuel leaking out but often air getting in to the fuel.

Best of luck, you'll get there:thumb2

totally agree with the above posts. doubtful its the injectors-cold/warming up wouldnt make a difference, if they were buggered, the car would struggle full stop.

I think its MAF, the pedal or this marine infection jobby..

Also only use a genuine maf from Nissan.

Only other thing is the coolant temp sender, ecu one is the larger of the 2
