yep , official viewing for my new bungalow tomorrow afternoon , the council have finished all the work :thumb2 ,

whats funny is we had dozens of offers of help to move etc , but when we asked people they where either busy or couldn't do it , so id like to thank those who are helping ( you know who you are :thumb2 ) .

gonna need a new cooker too , because our cooker only works on one ring  ,oh the fun lol .

thanks for the good wishes folks , much appreciated :thumb2

regards

pete and Sheila

did a few " experiments " with my radio while parked outside the bungalow jim . using 1% output power on 2mtrs ..... opened up gb3yw ( 9+++ signal ) ... gb3tp ( again 9+++ ) .... also Runcorn repeater , and simplex qso on 2mtrs to gainsborough ..... the experiment continues :naughty

thanks for all the good wishes everyone :thumb2

I am sure you will settle in just fine mate, and you can do without falling down them old stairs were you are now, Rick

Pete, will you have a spare bedroom am moving in:thumbs

you are more than welcome to pop up jim , gonna need some advice / help on setting up aerials for vhf/uhf and hf .

you could always experiment with your radio too :naughty:augie:lol:lol

ive already made my mind up about vhf/uhf ...... a co linear .... but unsure of options for hf

Long wire's for HF and a nice ATU.

Could make a trap dipole to make it multiband, Gerald will help with making one of those I'm sure.

Sheila says we need a cooker that works , and a fridge freezer first before I can have any more radio stuff ....... huh wimmin they don't understand :augie:lol:lol

we get the keys on Wednesday ..... couldn't quite understand why we couldn't have them yesterday , but we gotta go to the main office to collect them , and they operate an appointment system .

so now we need a cooker that works , a fridge /freezer ( ours is intermittent ) , oh and a washing machine that doesn't leak :lol , as well as decorating ( they've given us £100 towards decorating costs ) and finally ..... carpets , then we can move in ..... oh sheilas just mentioned curtains / blinds too .......bluddie wimmin :augie

Are there any second hand household places near you, or a clearance auction.

Won't your old blinds and curtains fit for now and I see carpet land are doing good discounts at the moment
