It happens after I've driven about three or four miles, and I can hear it quite clearly as coming from somewhere near the steering wheel thing, so not sure if it's engine or quality plastic dashboard.

It sounds a bit like a hamster in a squeaky wheel, as I go faster, it squeaks faster, but if I go over a pot hole it stops for a few mins.

I know I need an oil change ('oh Ricky baby?') but not sure what this noise is? I'm certain no hamsters are involved.

the only speed related item on the dash is the speedo cable, so this is the most likely source of your squeak, going over a bump probably moves the cable a little as the engine/gearbox lump moves on its rubber mounts, dash out and a bit of oil should cure it, Rick

To be honest you definately cant rule out hamsters yet until Rick has taken a Look, ask him to check for lazy clutch mouse too :augie

I actually had a squeak from my center part of steering wheel, I gently grabbed hold of it and pulled it towards me, again, gently!

Try holding bits of dash ect and see if it stops, mine makes loads of buzzing a and noises, but I'm sure rick will sort it for you :thumb2

Hehehe yes, I've done the holding various things whilst driving phnarrr

And I may well have a lazy clutch mouse - it has been a long time (matron). I will ask the very obliging Rick to check ;)

Was this before, or after, your steering coupler parted company with the steering box?:augie:naughty:doh

:lol :clap

Just the horn bit edges touching the outer. :p

Sad as I am, think I have a video of it on YouTube somewhere :thumb2

My dash had a squeak when I got the truck, it turned out to be the dashboard was loose, there are cap covered screws below the windscreen, I pulled the caps off and was able to tighten the screws...that stopped my squeak :)
