I've the same town at zak,

Getting another of rcmike when I'm passing

I've got a witter Swan neck type tow bar and now with all the lift on the terrano the old horse box turned trailer sits perfect.
At standard ride height it sat nose down.

ec94/20 applies to class m vehicles ie passenger vehicles S reg or newer.

your van would be deemed a commercial of course.

see plenty of newish well series 2 discos with the classic dixon bate slider
but reckon is illegal. atleast for suvs.

maybe running standard tyres for test wouldnt be such a bad idea as
would re-deepen the gearing and responsiveness of the truck, can you not do test
with trainer's vehicle and trailer, appreciate would cost more.

Best thing i ever did was take the original towbar/plough off the back and fit the american system you can get many attachments and towballs with 0-10 inch drops.

Also went to 13 pin electric so only the one socket.

Kind regards

Russell.

in us of a, its called a receiver, standard is 2inch, which is internal height/width of
tube, as said loads of bits available.

but, it may not be ec94/20 legal and reckon the trol is an suv, not commercial.

design is way superior to the typical quick release bars found on european cars.

saw a disco2 owner that had got one from LR North America but been warned
off using it here.

I'll do a bit of research me thinks, saw an aussie vid where he just took his tow bar off and slid a recovery point in, you fasten a vice or a bbq or owt to a piece of box section :D

Look out! Could be adapted for anything then? Like a Swiss army Nissan :lol

This is the tow ball but yes you can get steps, bike racks, recovery points and possibly nicked in the UK.

Kind regards

Russell.

I could be wrong but I thought the type approval on tow bars didn't apply to commercial vehicles only passenger cars from 1998 onwards.
As banshee's is a commercial then he could fit the dixon bate dropper without breaking the law, same goes for a receiver type hitch.

agreed it is but most of us are on car class and so cant have same kit despite being same
vehicle at heart, unless at newest an R reg. Certainly wanted one on my P reg mk2.
