HI -Nissan Terrano alternator was changed last week battery was disconnected during the change. The problem is when battery was connected one of the wire off the alternator touched earth. We have checked all fuses and there is no ignition life what so ever it,s all dead. The Terrano is a V Plate 2.7td SE

Help Wanted Please.

have you tried jump leads from another truck

have you checked connections are good strong and clean

is anything happening ? lights? dash lights? anything ?

No dash lights ? head lights work and radio because it's on a different system

ok on the battery connector (live) you should have 2 little wires and one big wire to the starter. check both little wires and in line fuses on them

battery ok dash lights are out it seems like a fuse has blowen but all fuses are ok, I have dissconected the battrey for ten mins to see if there could be a rest ? or something like that but nout happens. Have a relay blowen?

my guess is a poor earth to chassis or dirty /loose wire to alternator something

or those 2 little wires on battery

Had a quick look at electrical diagram and it looks like theres a 40A fuse there which may have blown, check fuses. O/S of engine compartment
