What did I say several posts ago. I do admire you stripping it all out yourself, well done.

Well I would love to take the credit but I just merly assisted and my friend who is a mechanic did the hard graft 😝👍

that is a very rare clutch failure, either rubbish clutch centre plate or lots of boy racer driving, Rick

It was a valio? Clutch we do tow a twin axle caravan would that have had any influence?

Would not have thought so, I regularly tow a car trailer with a T2 on it so close to max, and never had a problem, just run of the mill I guess, Rick

Not rare with the Valeo, I remanufacture clutches in my day job and funny enough I got a T2 Valeo in today with the same plate failure, the Valeo stuff seems lighter made for some reason, Valeo clutches tend to use thinner liners than LuK or the Japanese stuff.

Ahh good old LUK, all the techs at honda preached LUK :thumbs

Guess all the clutches I have done have been original and not valeo, have to say it is not a name I have come across on T2's Rick

Day job? you have a night job too, :rolleyes:Rick

Wtf, do tell please.

Yon must be non stop... When do you sleep?

Whenever I can!:D

The clutches are the 9-5, then I have a couple of nights a week delivering chinese and at weekends I roadie for a friends band.

I have a low boredom threshold so if I'm getting out of the house I might as well be paid for it!

Guess then you are under 55, I have been there done that, 18 hour days were the norm now at 67 I am slowing a bit, 6 hour day is enough but having said that today I did in one shift what would have taken a younger tradesman two days, I lose track, but the owner said will order ply for tomorrow as you will only do stud work today, I said no get ply today, if they cannot deliver I will collect, they delivered and it was fitted by half 4, only got door to hang tomorrow before I move on to a knock through to create new door way and block off another in order to run a new waste past the old door, hope I am not boring you but just another day in my life, Rick

How did you change the clutch? Engine out or gearbox?

If you are asking me, I always take the engine out, but now I have a hoist I might look at sliding the box back on the torsion bars, (I have heard that it is just possible to do it this way but not proven yet) or I may make up a gear box trolley with a high lift jack on it, Rick
