Fortunately because my mechanic is a mate and im helping labour will incur no cost as for the clutch I bought it from Milner off here for £116 which was the cheapest I could find and we have yanked the gearbox off too do it andro em fair the hardest thing was the suspention bars. but we are putting it back together tonight so that could be the fun bit.

If you are asking me, I always take the engine out, but now I have a hoist I might look at sliding the box back on the torsion bars, (I have heard that it is just possible to do it this way but not proven yet) or I may make up a gear box trolley with a high lift jack on it, Rick

Just support the gearbox with trolley jack its almost perfectly ballanced on the gearbox crossmember done loads and i work in a field
