Hi
My Terrano 3.0 SVe lacks power in 3 and 4 gears i have changed the MAFF sensor and checked the turbo pipes etc has anbody esle had this problem
thanks in advance

Have you tried replacing fuel and air filters, could be old or blocked.

Have you had engine management light on at all.

Have you tried using veggie oil, if so that could be your problem as the IP on the 3 litre really doesn’t like veggie.

The only time I had lack of power, there was a perished vac pipe causing no turbo. No warning lights either

Hi
I there is no engine management light on I have placed all the filters and only run on normal diesol

Ok next step is to look in downloads section that’s within quick links. There is a how to guide for reading fault codes with a paper clip, that would be my next step however it may only show the earlier connector. You may have to do a search on the forums for fault reading.
Good Luck

Easy fix, this is most likely the neutral position switch on the top of your gearbox, if you pull up the plastic moulding around the gear stick, then the rubber boot below, just next to where the gear stick goes into the box is a sensor and plug, unplug it and give it a drive, if it's at fault, it'll drive like a new car again.

If it is that and you need a spare let me know as I have a 3ltr Gearbox on the garage floor at the moment scrap

Wouldn't happen to have a working 3lt ip knocking about too!? 😂 mine's given up the ghost, went to just chuck an electric pump in, but only got an old su pump, so probably not enough psi in that 🙈😏😄

Plenty of after market pumps out there, Facit is one, go get one and give it a try Rick

I'm afraid not and those pumps aren't cheap  Good luck finding a second hand one, you'd be better off grabbing a scrap truck and breaking it for bits, you'll make your money back twice over

Yeah, to be fair, i have thought about breaking one, just a lack of space with 2 dead cars at the mo, smashed the gearbox in my other car 🙄 . What sort pressure would i need to get her back up? I tried this first of all just to get a head of pressure and fuel started to show at the injectors, just not much. 🤭😊

Gravity is your friend but don't think it would have made much of a difference in this scenario. Have you tried a 12v pump inline from the tank?

You need to start at around 45 psi on these pumps I only done one but after running for a while at that pressure I found the IP took the task back over and could disconnect the electric in line, Rick
